Protestanti (no lat. protestari - "pierādīt, apliecināt"; angl. Protestant, vāc. Protestanten, kr. протестанти) - kopējs apzīmējums ticīgajiem XVI-XVIII gs., kas piederīgi Reformācijas rezultātā kādam no Romas Katoļu Baznīcas atšķēlušās protestantisko Baznīcu virzienam - sākotnēji luterismam, kalvinismam, pietismam, anabaptismam u.c. mazākām sektām.
